Beginning Wire-Wrapping

Have you collected rocks or gemstones and wanted to make jewelry from them? Well, this workshop is for you. I will show you how to wire-wrap your stones to make beautiful pendants to wear. We will discuss the different wire that can be used, the do's and don?ts for successful wire-wrapping, and what tools to use and not to use. Join me in a fun and relaxing afternoon. Bring a few of your favorite rocks and you can wrap them into pendants. This is a beginners workshop.
Please bring 1 pair of round nose pliers,
1 pair of flush cut wire cutters
1 pair of flat nose pliers
1 pencil and paper for notes
You may bring a couple of your own stones approx. 1.5? in length to wrap or I will supply one stone for you in the kit.
Also bring protective eye wear to protect your eyes from unruly wire ends.
I will have extra tools on hand to use
Bring a necklace to wear your pendant home.

Not only has she been serving the needs of jewelry designers and fabricators since 1997 as a Jewelry Assembler, Ms. Metz has always had a love of making jewelry. She wanted to share her expertise by teaching classes privately and through the Culver City Rock and Mineral Club?s Fiesta of Gems Show, the Bead Society of Los Angeles, and privately through Zoom. She has established the Culver City Rock and Mineral Club Beading Series Program teaching various projects highlighting one beading technique per class. The classes are fun, informative and patiently taught in a relaxed atmosphere. She is a member of the Culver City Rock and Mineral Club and holds the position of Publicity and Fiesta of Gems Workshop Chairperson.
